Meet Our Founders
Robert Dominguez
Founder/CEO and Managing Partner
A native of West Texas, Robert brings more than a decade of experience and a strong work ethic to every project. After moving to Middle Tennessee in 2004, he officially entered the construction industry in 2011 and founded Sound Builders of TN two years later. Robert is passionate about delivering high-quality results and creating homes that stand the test of time.
Robert and his wife, Michelle, have built their life around faith, family, and community. They live in Middle Tennessee with their two children, Bo and Emme Grace.
Dusty Hackney
COO and Managing Partner
Dusty’s career began after graduating from Boise State University, where he gained hands-on experience managing residential and commercial builds under his father’s leadership. After relocating to Tennessee in 2013, he continued honing his craft — first in the flooring industry and later returning to his true passion: building homes.
Today, Dusty lives in Thompson’s Station, TN, and enjoys time with his family, hunting, fishing, and fitness.
Together, Robert and Dusty lead Sound Builders of TN with one mission: to build homes and relationships that last a lifetime.
